Polished protection

Article Abstract:

The UK security industry is having to adapt its style of business to cope with new types of crime, technological innovations in security equipment and a greater role for security operatives. Businesses are looking for more professional expertise from their guards to cope with a public relations role as well as ensuring security. Educating staff on security matters is also vital. Some experts suggest that the security industry requires further legislation to ensure that standards of operatives rise. Firms must be prepared to pay extra for guards who have greater expertise.

Route to prosperity

Article Abstract:

Firms wishing to expand into Europe are looking to the Kent area for new development opportunities, encouraged by improved road and rail links with the continent and planned expansion of air links. High office prices closer to the M25 motorway are also having an impact on firms seeking lower prices in the Kent area. Quality of office space must be high to ensure the best firms are attracted to Kent.
