Hurricane Katrina has caused great damage to the real estate industry. The efforts taken by Realtor magazine to help the hurricane victims, even though about 9000 real estate practitioners are at risk, are briefed.

The more than 1.4 million dollar donations made by different realtor organizations for the Realtors Tsunami Relief Project is discussed. The contribution is to used for building shelters for the victims.
