The application of environmental insurance in redevelopment associated with military base closures

Article Abstract:

Environmental insurance products and services can be utilized to improve risk management controls in the transfer of former Department of Defense (DOD) facilities to the private sector. Environmental contamination have negative effects on the transfer of DOD facilities to the private sector. Environmental insurance services such as pollution cleanup, remediation stop-loss and consultant's environmental liability can be utilized by potential owners of DOD facilities to reduce uncertainty in property transactions.
