Room for improvement... room for growth

Article Abstract:

The industrial and commercial property market in Nottingham, England, suffers from a weak office sector and lack of high-quality space, especially in the city centre. Many companies are having to seek premises in edge-of-town locations. It is calculated that the total office space available is 78,965 sq mt. The industrial market is suffering from lack of supply of uncontaminated land and the market is split between private sector developments to the south of Nottingham and enteprise zones to the north.

Building on firm foundations

Article Abstract:

Hemel Hempstead has become an attractive industrial location, although few modern industrial units are currently available. The key modern schemes are Hunting Gate's Centro development and Maxted Corner. In the office sector, 210,269 sq ft of space is still on the market, with almost 50% of this being secondhand. Some observers believe that the town's reputation as an industrial location is having a negative impact on the office market.
