Increase in foreign investments in Russia since the fall of Soviet Union, is discussed. Russian government's promises on Intellectual Property rights have paved way for further investments by multinationals like Ford, Volkswagen, Toyota, etc. William O'Rourke, president of Alcoa Russia, discusses the safety of investments in Russia and the corporate culture at Alcoa. Alcoa industries' acquisition of two Russian plants, Belaya Kalitya and Samara with facilities for heavy machinery fabrication is also discussed.
