Sense of securitisation

Article Abstract:

The US type of real estate investment trusts will not necessarily be adopted by the UK even though some trusts have already invested in UK property. Property investments are not always flexible, they can be costly and are time consuming. Investment in property is popular because investors can enjoy a growth in rental value whilst their capital value also increases. The use of securitisation makes property a more suitable investment for a range of investors, such as individuals and smaller companies. The property will be financed by bond-type securities.
