Site Selection's inaugural new facilities index predicts little near-term growth

Article Abstract:

Construction of new corporate facilities or expansion of existing facilities is projected to have a minimal increase in 1992, compared to 1991 figures. This conclusion was reached after a survey of 100 professionals dealing in corporate real estate was concluded. The combined forecasts of the respondents estimate a 0.2% growth rate for facility development for 1st qtr 1992. An index of new corporate facilities from 1984 to 1991 is presented to show trends in facility investments. Construction of corporate facilities in 1992 is projected.
