Article Abstract:

Making property deals can be very satisfying, according to Nigel Ross, joint chief executive of Compco Holdings with Robert Nadler. Ross purchases and sells properties at a very rapid pace, while Nadler focuses on administrative and financial issues. They form a very effective team, with Compco having achieved rental income of 3.57 million pounds sterling in the six months to Sep 1997. Welsh wrangle: the business community in Wales has reservations about Labour's plans for a Welsh Assembly

Article Abstract:

Welsh voters will decide whether they want devolution for Wales on September 18, following the launch of the government white paper A Voice for Wales, and its campaign to encourage a 'yes' vote. There are implications for the property industry and some professionals are concerned that a Welsh Assembly would deter domestic business expansion. The government is planning to merge the Welsh Development Agency, the Development Board for Rural Wales and the Land Authority for Wales.
