To catch a thief: With building security measures becoming increasingly sophisticated, the race is on to find even better systems

Article Abstract:

The race is on to find better ways of protecting property, and closed circuit television systems (CCTV) offer great potential. However it requires careful monitoring to be effective. Some systems can monitor a number of locations simultaneously, and the relevant camera can zoom in on an intrusion point. The level of security required can vary according to the area, and some buildings feature internal metal grilles protecting the windows.
