"A game played against time": life in Bourbonville

Novelist and historian Richard Marius has understood the differencing demands of nonfictional and fictional writings. He has paid careful attention to details of his novel for creating a realistic fictional world of Bourbonville, which is based on Lenoir City, Tennessee, the town where he grew up.

Marius the cyclist-and teacher, and friend
