An attempt is made to assess the political impact of the Referendum Law in Taiwan. Contrary to the prediction that uproar over the referendum on defense would cool with the law's passage, the issue has continued to spark debate on sovereignty, national security, cross-strait relations, and national identity.r

Duty drawback and export promotion in China

The effect of the duty drawback measures introduced by the Chinese government on boosting China's exports and hence its economic growth is analyzed. The key determinants of China's exports are examined.
