Doctrinal model for PKO

Article Abstract:

A theoretical model for explaining the dynamics and complexities involved in peacekeeping operations (PKO) by the world's superpowers is presented. The model draws heavily from the experience of the United Nations Transition Administration in Eastern Slavonia. The goal of any PKO is to bring long-term peace and stability through a process demanding decisions arrived at by design and not by default. This process involves careful planning along with an integrated approach to bring the plan to reality.
