Gone with Katrina' wind

Article Abstract:

At Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana the English students were asked to write essays about the powerful storm after Katrina. The students seemed to be in a daze and it was impossible to get them to respond orally to any questions as many of them were displaced from universities in New Orleans, many had lost everything and were separated from their families, and shared horrifying experiences when coaxed to do so and learning to live normally again.

There is a New Orleans

Article Abstract:

A disaster channel on the radio with a call-in talk show was held to help those who were fled to the storm's edge or got stuck and stayed during Hurricane Katrina. The experience of the people who had to move out of their house despite their earlier plans to stay during the hurricane is given along with their mixed reaction when they return back to their place when things have settled.
