Surprising Secrets from Military Pension Files

Article Abstract:

The National Archives and Records Administration in Washington, D.C. holds appriximately three million pension application files with an average of 126 pages each. The author describes the contents of two files she obtained. The military pension record may include marriage licences, birth certificates and personal letters that prove relationships.
