Thomas' purchase of a surplus pair of khaki trousers from an Army-Navy surplus store was the inspiration that spurred him to build his own firm specializing in khakis. Bills Khakis markets military-style khakis, which for Thomas, represent the simplicity and best virtues of a bygone era.
