About 700 mil Kc for savings
Article Abstract:
Czech Republic: The state budget should reserve 1.6 bil Kc for a programme on the saving of power and an increase in the number of renewable sources in 2000. The state budget plans to use 700 mil Kc for the purpose in 1999. About 300 mil Kc of the sum, which is 25 mil Kc lower compared to 1998, will be intended for the power agency Ceska energeticka agentura (Czech Republic), which is attached to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic (MIT). MIT estimates that a new conventional source with an output of 300 MW has to be installed after 2006, besides the commissioning of the Temelin Nuclear Power Station. The power company CEZ (Czech Republic) began preparing the project for the new power station in 1998.
