When apes put men to shame

Article Abstract:

It is very rare to find sexual sleaze in the animal kingdom or in tribal society. Male animals of various species may mate with several different females, but they rarely make any kind of payment for sex, unlike human males, especially in urban environments. Similarly, tribal leaders may have several wives, but clandestine relationships are not usually found. Sexual sleaze seems to require an anonymity which is not found in an intimate community such as a primitive tribe.

Great medium, shame about the message

Article Abstract:

The 'digital revolution' raises many complex issues, and most people remain very uncertain about how it will affect their everyday lives. There will be many possibilities for new systems of communication between individuals, but the information being transmitted could be of poor quality if the world's publishers and broadcasters fail to establish certain standards. Another key issue will be the ownership of supply.
