An undying love that is driving us to distraction

Article Abstract:

Car owners in the UK now spend an average of 52 pounds sterling a week on their vehicle, only just less than they spend on food, according to a report from the London School of Economics. Traffic congestion and pollution are serious problems, but people are still not prepared to give up using their car. The report indicates that car ownership will continue to rise, especially as more and more people will be able to afford to drive. There are now more than 25 million cars on the UK's roads, from 17.75 million in 1978.

Nom de Blume

Article Abstract:

The concerns of teenagers have remained basically unchanged over the last 20 years, according to novelist Judy Blume, who came to public attention in the 1970s with her explicit teenage book 'Forever.' She has since written a number of novels which have attracted controversy because they deal openly with issues which are of great concern to teenagers. She places great emphasis on a child's right to information, as she feels that it is vital that they are prepared for the problems they may have to face.

The high fashion capital of cool

Article Abstract:

There are now many designer stores in London, England, where 35 such stores have opened since 1990. The fashion industry there is benefiting from London's positive international reputation and the success of London Fashion Week. Designer stores are also opening in other large cities in the UK. There is now very fierce competition between designers, who are prepared to pay very large rents to have a store in a key location. Experts believe that the fashion industry in the UK is set to grow even larger.
