Novelist H.G. Wells believed in predestination and the theological assuredness of the influence of the saints. In his book 'Anticipations' he wrote about social engineering and a new order with policies which would benefit humanity. He thought that inefficient 'lower' peoples would disappear through plagues and undesirables should be discouraged from procreation. Many socialists applauded his eugenics but some criticised the book.

Schizophrenia is controlled not cured by time or tablets. Living with a sufferer of this mental illness is traumatic, frustrating and unpredictable. If appropriate medication is not taken, a chemical imbalance occurs in the patient's brain. Hearing voices, suffering delusions and self neglect are symptoms of the condition. Such stress can lead to suicide attempts.
