Article Abstract:

New approaches to selling are emerging as many UK companies begin to realise that improving salesforce performance is a key way of boosting top-line and bottom-line performance. Sales staff are under strong pressure to gain an intimate knowledge of the customer's business and to show that they can offer added value, rather than simply meeting sales targets. More attention is being given to adaptiveness in selling, sales support activities and teamwork in selling.
