Behind the barrier of separation

Article Abstract:

Some fathers are very keen to share responsibility for their children when they are separated from their wives, but it can be emotionally exhausting as court delays make them appear strangers to their children. About half of separated fathers lose touch with their children. The judiciary is reluctant to enforce orders. A main concept of the Children Act is that parents take joint responsibility for their children even if their relationship ends and it emphasises the need for quick decisions.

What do women really want? Something sound, secure and good for singletons

Article Abstract:

Single women who are buying a property for the first time tend to have very clear ideas about what they want. They generally seek large entertaining rooms rather than large kitchens, and are keen to undertake their own decorating. They are usually more realistic than men about what type of property they can afford, but are not prepared to make compromises. In many cases they can afford to go beyond property traditionally associated with first-time buyers.

Would you pay someone to find you a home?

Article Abstract:

Some people decide to use the services of a homesearch agency when moving house. Such an agency can advise on appropriate areas for the client's particular circumstances, and can allow the client to save a great deal of time and effort. A registration fee of around 500 pounds sterling will usually cover the first three to four months of searching for a suitable house, but some agencies will only charge on fee.
