The seaside resort of Biarritz, France, located between the gentle Cote d'Argent and the wilder Basque coast, has attracted visitors from the UK for many years. Its popularity has declined over recent years, but it could begin to enjoy a revival following the introduction by Ryanair of direct flights from Stansted airport. Biarritz has fallen victim to urban sprawl, but it still has some interesting features, including the Historical Museum. It also benefits from very attractive beaches.

Article Abstract:

The archipelago within which Stockholm, Sweden, is located is made up of 24,00 islands stretching for 40 miles in the direction of Finland. Most of the islands are uninhabited, but the archipelago still attracts many visitors, especially when the summer heat makes Stockholm itself unpleasant. A lot of the summer activity in the archipelago focuses on Sandhamn, while one of the wealthiest islands is Vaxholm, where the harbour has an old fortress.
