Bologna bomber slips back into society

Article Abstract:

It is understandable that the families of the 85 people who died in the bomb attack on the railway station in Bologna, Italy, in Aug 1980 still feel pain, according to former extreme-right wing terrorist Francesca Mambro. She is serving five life sentences for murder, one of which is for planting the Bologna station bomb. However, she has always denied being responsible for this attack. She recognizes that the bomb attack can never be forgotten, but feels that it is now time to forgive. She is now permitted to leave prison during the day to work.

Back home to mother

Article Abstract:

It is still common for Russia's city-dwellers to spend time in the countryside during the summer. Here, they become involved in traditional rural pursuits, such as gathering mushrooms and making jam. City-dwellers find the countryside relaxing, but people who live in the countryside throughout the year face great hardship because of the collapse of collective farms. They cannot afford to run farm machinery such as tractors, and struggle to harvest crops by hand.
