Heading for a blow-out?

Article Abstract:

An aneurysm is a blow-out of an artery. It often develops in the aorta, but can hit any high-pressure blood vessel such as in those in the wrist, armpit, groin or the back of the knee. Aside from the thoracic aorta, the most dangerous place where aneurism can erupt is in an artery within the brain. A common symptom of this type of aneurism is intermittent sentinel headaches. Aneurysms can be very dangerous because they can strike without warning and the mortality rate from a raptured aneurysm is nearly 100%. However, some forms of aneurysm can be detected early and treated with simple surgery. It is therefore prudent for people to undergo regular medical check-ups to detect the presence of this potentially treatable condition.

Classes for the wounded and self-indulgent fools

Article Abstract:

Evening classes offer a valuable opportunity to pursue existing interests and to learn new skills. Some are academic in nature, while others are designed for relaxation and personal development. Many people attend evening classes simply to meet others. It appears that there are now personal development-related evening classes to suit every possible personality type, and it could be argued that this is rather exploitative.
