New Orleans police officer Victor Gant is a key suspect in the search for a serial killer who has committed at least 24 murders. However, the FBI does not have sufficient evidence to arrest him, so he continues to service in the police force, although he is not permitted to undertake patrol duty. Many of his fellow police officers feel that that this situation has arisen as a result of mismanagement by the New Orleans Police Department, which is widely seen as being in crisis.

A-wooing at the Royal Court

Article Abstract:

Many US theatres now hold 'singles nights,' at which people looking for a partner can enjoy a play and then converse in an unthreatening environment. Professional women find it easier to talk to men in a theatre than in a bar, and the play which has just been performed gives people an immediate subject for conversation. This approach is now starting to spread to the UK, with the Royal Court theatre soon to hold its first 'singles night.'
