Employ clever people and make work fun

Article Abstract:

Most companies are now aware that their employees are their main business asset. However, top executives still find it hard to know exactly how they should nurture and manage their company's human capital. Many draw up complex incentive schemes, while others establish facilities designed to boost the skill level of their employees. However, the most effective management of human capital must contain an element of making an employee's entire job fun. It is also important to create flexible structures of employment.

To keep a customer in line, simply use a club

Article Abstract:

It is becoming increasingly common in the UK for companies to seek to establish a relationship with purchasers of their goods or services. They are offering their customers a form of club, creating an atmosphere in which customers become more willing to divulge the information required for successful cross-selling. Businesses now want to interact with customers on a relationship basis, rather than a transaction basis, but it remains uncertain whether customers are willing to accept this change.
