Mr McGuinness has opened the way to truth

Article Abstract:

Fear, bigotry and hope - the shadows that lurk on the Garvaghy road

Article Abstract:

There is great tension in Northern Ireland, and it seems possible that serious disorder will emerge. Indeed, the future of the Good Friday peace agreement could be under threat. Attitudes on both sides are becoming more entrenched, and this could destroy the centre ground on which a new form of politics for Northern Ireland could be established. UK Prime Minister Tony Blair has so far shown energy and vision in his handling of the Northern Ireland situation, and he must now hold his nerve as the prospects of peace in Northern Ireland seem to become increasingly bleak.
