Forget the stiff upper lip, and start complaining

Article Abstract:

It is common for Britons to endure unsatisfactory holidays without complaining. In some cases, they are unaware of complaints procedures, while in other cases they do not wish to go to the trouble of complaining. Those wishing to make a complaint should take video footage of all problems and keep a detailed diary of events. They should make contact with their holiday representative, and should take the details of other holidaymakers who back up their complaint. On their return, they should write to the tour operator, providing video and photographic evidence.

Prayer wheels and apple pie

Article Abstract:

There is a great deal of beautiful scenery to be viewed when trekking in Nepal along the route of the holy Kali Gandaki river. It is worth undertaking this journey in winter, avoiding the large trekking groups that are found in the area in autumn and spring. However, it is also important to be aware that it can get very cold at night in winter. The journey covers around a third of the Annapurna Circuit, a three-week trek taking in the quintet of Annapurna peaks and Machhapuchare.

The countryside is well protected, and Costa Rica also has uncrowded beaches. It is particularly worth visiting Tortuguero National Park, a remote area of coastal rainforest in the north-east of the country. This area is most well known as a habitat for the turtle.
