Gone for a Burton

Article Abstract:

It can be extremely difficult to follow in the footsteps of a famous relative, according to actor Guy Masterson, who is the nephew of Richard Burton. He has now realised that he will never be able to imitate his uncle, so has adopted his own style. He has gained respect in his own right with his one-man versions of George Orwell's 'Animal Farm' and 'Under Milk Wood' by Dylan Thomas. He is able to imitate many different animal sounds, and creates a strong atmosphere with very few props.

Mr Pouty, Mr Broody, Mr Handsome

Article Abstract:

Actor Rufus Sewell has no interest in playing romantic lead characters any more, and is keen to return to his roots as a comic actor. This is seen in his role in 'Martha - Meet Frank, Daniel and Laurence.' He feels that this is a romantic comedy with a slightly bitter edge. He has been offered a considerable number of roles, but at present is keen to avoid playing stock romantic heroes. However, he would possibly consider such roles if no other work became available for a long time.

Heaven in a blue suit

Article Abstract:

Actor Neil Pearson feels that he is not really a sex symbol, as he has been portrayed in the media. He does not adopt a self-important attitude about acting, and often directs his sharp humour at himself. His latest role is in BBC1's 'Heaven on Earth,' playing a graphic designer who abandons everyday life to become the megalomaniac leader of a religious sect in a remote part of Wales. He is aware that this production is likely to attract complaints.
