If only the devil did make work for idle hands...

Article Abstract:

New definitions of work are emerging as social attitudes change and technology makes some types of work much less significant. There is now a much sharper distinction between work and leisure, but it is sometimes still not very easy to distinguish between these two activities. Many people feel that work is much less central element of everyday life than it was in the past, with leisure playing a more significant role. If this is the case, then it will be necessary to find new ways of satisfying the basic human impulses towards activity and social involvement.

Are you guilty? It's all in the mind

Article Abstract:

The 'brain fingerprint' test developed by neuroscientist Lawrence Farwell to identify guilty memories in suspects is discussed. This test records the brain's electrical activity and uses the notion that a spike appears on a read-out of brain activity after the subject sees something of significance to him or her.
