If you want a new Vauxhall, get a GM card. To make a donation to charity, get a Leeds Visa

Article Abstract:

Credit cards from banks, building societies or companies can appear similar, but in fact they vary greatly in their conditions of use. Some cards allow the user to obtain discounts, while others include a donation to charity. Such incentives can obscure the real benefits and costs of owning the card. Users should be aware that the cost of cards depends on how they are used, and that factors such as annual fees and interest rates must be taken into account.

Latin America: still shaky after all these years

Article Abstract:

UK fund managers have mixed views on whether investing in emerging markets in Latin America is advisable or not. Some feel that the region is under-valued and that forecast 12-month returns look very attractive. Some are increasing their assets in Latin America, while others are preferring to focus on eastern Europe and South East Asia. Some even believe that Latin America represents a high risk, especially as there is uncertainty about economic growth.

Start saving early if you want private education

Article Abstract:

School fees continue to rise in the UK, despite the generally weak economic climate, and many parents are no longer able to pay fees out of their income alone.
