Investments

Article Abstract:

It is always a mistake to look back on the performance of various types of stocks throughout a particular year and to realise that higher investment yields could have been achieved. Most investments have performed reasonably well in the UK during 1995, with the only poor areas being property and gold, construction shares and emerging markets. There are always opportunities to participate in very attractive investments after the initial publicity has waned.

Investments

Article Abstract:

People who are prepared to take a long-term view of investments can often benefit greatly from a straightforward strategy of focusing on a limited number of well established companies. High returns may be obtained in the short term from smaller, more speculative companies, but it is wiser to take a longer-term approach and concentrate on companies which consistently make strong profits.
