Is Stephen Bayley as good an ideas man as he thinks he is? We'll find out under the dome

Article Abstract:

Stephen Bayley, creative director of the Millennium Dome in Greenwich, London, England, will face unique challenges as he considers how to put together an exhibition in this vast structure. He must seek the opinions of designers, musicians, technologists, inventors and film-makers, and will have to consult with the Design Council, which plans a series of workshops for designers. He must find ways of displaying sponsors' products imaginatively but not alienating them.

A spokeswoman for justice

Article Abstract:

Author Derval Murphy, who has travelled extensively, believes that everybody can do what she does. She acknowledges that travel writing like hers is not necessary now that it is possible to view the entire world on television. However, she rejects television because of its lack of analysis. She regards Laos, the subject of her most recent book, as rich in ritual and culture, with wealth in subsistence farming.
