Is this the UK's most wired man?

Article Abstract:

Working from home using latest communications equipment can be the most efficient way of communicating with customers across the world, according to Tony Perks, European IT director for communications supplier 3Com. He uses an Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) line which operates four times faster than a modem on a normal phone line, and can also connect very quickly to the company's own worldwide network. He runs a Pentium 133 and an Apple Mac, with the former having an inbuilt fax and video-conferencing system.

Why not drop over for a PC party?

Article Abstract:

Dorling Kindersley Family Library has established a strong network of distributors selling computers to people in their own homes. Most of these distributors work part time, but some can earn very large sums. They demonstrate the computers to people invited to the host's home, and rely on the equipment's features to ensure sales, rather than on high-pressure sales techniques.

In the Windows seat from Waterloo

Article Abstract:

People who are familiar with computers can learn to use Windows 95 relatively easily, but those who are not are likely to experience some difficulties. Those who have already used Windows 95 generally welcome its facilities. Some people have developed a very negative opinion of it because they became bored with all the publicity which surrounded its launch.
