UN chief accuses Israel of terrorising Palestinians

International monitors must be allowed to enter the West Bank and Gaza Strip, according to United Nations Human Rights Commissioner Mary Robinson. She believes that Israeli bomb attacks on the region should cease, as they are terrorizing ordinary people.

Israel attacks Arafat's base in its own 'war on terrorism.'

Article Abstract:

Israel has made a strong response to the three Hamas suicide bomb attacks in which 28 people died. It has used combat helicopters to fire missiles at aircraft hangars near Gaza, West Bank, destroying three helicopters belonging to Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat. F-16 warplanes also fired at a police base in Jenin, West Bank.
