It's all in the blood

Article Abstract:

A person's blood group is vital to the sort of diet that person should follow, according to US naturopathic physician Peter D'Adamo. He believes that different foods have different effects according to a person's blood type. People with blood type O generally have acidic stomachs, and this means that they can eat a lot of meat. People with blood type A, however, have lower levels of stomach acid and should eat a diet which is largely vegetarian. Meat tends to slow down digestion and metabolism in people with blood type A, while carbohydrates have the opposite effect.

From little monster to little angel: it's kid's play

Article Abstract:

The Parent-Child Game improves the behaviour of non-compliant children as it trains parents to ignore bad behaviour and praise good behaviour. At a special unit in the Maudsley hospital in London, England, a psychologist sitting behind a two-way mirror communicates with the parent through a microphone and earpiece while they play with their child. The scheme is also used with older children who have reached the stage of breaking the law and may be taken into care. About 10% of parents have such children.

Too much teen spirit

Article Abstract:

It is clear that many teenagers are drinking large amounts of alcohol. Research indicates that this can lead to both health and social problems, including early sexual activity and unprotected sexual intercourse. There seems to be a very random approach in the UK to providing more information for teenagers about the negative effects of alcohol. A key difficulty is that those involved in health education work have much more limited funds than the alcohol industry.
