Jews? I liked them all my life, said the old man in the dock for Nazi killings

Article Abstract:

Anthony Sawoniuk, who is accused of mass murder during the second world war, has heard evidence given against him by former classmates, neighbours and childhood friends from Domachevo, Belarus. Sawoniuk has denied being responsible for the murder of Jews, stating that he was forced by the Nazis to take a minor police position but was not present when Jews were murdered. He has claimed that he has always liked Jews and that he was not in Domachevo when the main Jewish massacre took place.
