Women get wired

Article Abstract:

There has been a significant rise in the use of the Internet by women. There is no longer a widely-held belief that the Internet is only for technical experts, and many sites are now aimed specifically at women. It is becoming common for women to use the Internet to obtain specific information, and women have also been attracted to electronic mail. There are clear indications that young women are comfortable with technology and see it as gender neutral.
