Labour or Tory, we want to talk

Article Abstract:

The Trades Union Congress (TUC) has largely been excluded from the political scene by the Conservative party over recent years. However, the Conservative party now recognises that its unpopularity is due partly to the rise in insecurity at work, and accepts that must now deal with workplace unrest as a priority issue. The TUC is seeking a future of social partnership, probably but not necessarily with a Labour government. It recognises the need to build a new set of relationships for how the country does business, taking an approach which will endure changes in government if necessary.
