Let's not help the US in its mission to become an unassailable world power

Article Abstract:

The UK government must address the challenge of seeking to divert the US administration from its plans to go against international agreements on nuclear defence. It is argued that the National Missile Defence system would give the US unchallenged military strength.

Piracy has always driven our policy in the Falklands

Article Abstract:

The view of a report commissioned prior to the 1939 to 1945 war was that the United Kingdom had little chance of proving a legal right to the Falkland Islands if the case were examined by an independent tribunal. Britain invaded the Falklands in 1832, expelling the Argentine population, and this seizure by Britain has not been accepted by Argentina, even in the 1990s. The Chilean government of General Pinochet helped Britain in the Falklands conflict, and helped the British prime minister, Margaret Thatcher, retain power.

Why should we let Fascists have freedom of speech?

Article Abstract:

There is a widespread denial in UK society of the many attacks and murders that continue to take place against black and Asian people. In the light of recent racist attacks in London, England, it is now time to question whether extreme groups such as the Fascist British National Party should be allowed to exercise full civil liberties. Some people argue that it is vital to guarantee freedom of speech, even to those with views rejected by the vast majority of reasonable people, but it is now clear that efforts must be made to fight back against the Fascists.
