Me, myself, my client

Article Abstract:

Lawyers in the UK can face considerable challenges as they seek to distinguish between providing legal advice to their clients and campaigning on behalf of clients. The Law Society states that lawyers may speak in public on behalf of their clients as long as they are not in contempt of court. However, some observers are concerned about the trend towards lawyers using the media to present their client's cause to the widest possible audience. There is a danger of some solicitors using their clients to boost their own profile.
