UK Prime Minister Tony Blair is to seek to persuade other European leaders to support the US as it decides how to respond to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon. He will visit France and Germany before flying to New York, NY, and Wasington, DC, to discuss likely US military action.

Terrorists will not be allowed to win, according to UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, speaking at the 2001 Labour party conference. He emphasized that proportionate and targeted action will be taken against Osama bin Laden, who clearly organized the attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon.
