Mr Major's moral crusade haunted by buried skeletons

Article Abstract:

There have been many political scandals in the UK since 1986, and at certain times scandals almost came to be taken for granted, failing to raise much of a reaction among the general public. However, these scandals have caused great embarrassment to politicians, especially those in the Conservative party, which has for some time had a commitment to making the country more moral. Ordinary people now have a very low opinion of politicians, and almost expect them to be involved in some sort of underhand activity.
