Naked, but nice, from the Netherlands

Article Abstract:

Dutch magazine has taken an innovative approach to fashion photography, using 83 unbroken pages of black-and-white photographs of completely nude male and female models by Swedish photographer Mikael Jansson. Each photograph represents a designer label. The shoot features all the magazine's regular advertisers, including Prada Sport and Fendi, and also seeks to attract new advertisers. The magazine, which has a circulation of 45,000 a month, has gained considerable attention through taking unusual approaches.

Pig farmer's son who kept a cool head

Article Abstract:

Working for a company that is still small and intimate brings significant benefits, according to new Wagadon Group Editor Richard Benson. He feels that most editors at large publishing houses are too weighed down with bureaucracy. He will be responsible for maintaining the circulation of Arena, The Face, Deluxe, Frank and Arena Homme Plus, and will also seek to bring in new advertising and to maintain good relations with existing advertisers. He is also working on brand extension and events.

The Spectator: crisis, what crisis?

Article Abstract:

The Spectator is better informed about New Labour than any other publication, according to Editor Frank Johnson. He believes that this makes the magazine essential reading. He feels that he has opened the Spectator up to a wide range of views, especially since the general election in May 1997. He dismisses rumours that his staff are on the point of going on strike because he always makes editorial decisions at a very late stage in the publication cycle.
