Netscape now - but for how much longer?

Article Abstract:

Netscape Communications Corp Chief Executive Jim Barksdale is widely respected for his management abilities, but now faces significant challenges as the company's share price falls and its financial performance falters. He is acknowledged to be very skilled in personal communications, but these skills may not necessarily be appropriate in the highly competitive software industry. There is concern that he may cause Netscape to lose momentum. If it does so, then it will never be able to become competitive again.
