Penthouse and pavement

Article Abstract:

The hard landscaping of a garden should receive just as much attention as planting. It is important to be aware that gardens need to be multi-functional, especially in the city. However, they must also offer a place to relax, and it is therefore vital to strike the right balance between soft and hard landscaping. The main factors to take into account are horizontals such as pathways and gravel areas and verticals such as trellis and pergolas.
