Pilgrimage to Walsingham

Article Abstract:

The small town of Walsingham, England, and the surrounding area have been a focus for religious activity for many centuries, and continue to attract large numbers of pilgrims, particularly at Easter. High Anglicans have rebuilt the Holy House of Nazareth, first built following a vision of the Blessed Virgin in 1061, inside a new church, and the ruins of an Augustinian priory have been opened to the public. There are also three Eastern Orthodox churches in the area, including St Seraphim's.
