Resurgent Jews emerge from Russian ghetto

Article Abstract:

There has been widespread anti-Semitism in Russia for many years. However, Jews now seem to be establishing a strong position in society in Moscow, Russia, where there are at least 100 Jewish organizations. There are many signs of the resurgence of Jewish culture, partly the result of the expansion of Jewish education. There are now seven Jewish secondary schools and four higher education establishments in the city, compared with none at all at the end of the 1980s.

A week on, Oklahoma stops to mourn its dead

Article Abstract:

Many people in Oklahoma City observed a minute's silence precisely one week after the bomb explosion at a federal building in the city. Rescue workers are still trying to retrieve bodies from the devastated building, where it is thought around 200 people died. A new theory on the motives behind the attack states that one of the suspects could actually have been blown up in the explosion.
