Sabotage - it's all the rage

Article Abstract:

Industrial crime, in which a frustrated employee becomes involved in sabotage against his or her employer, is becoming increasingly common, according to the American Society of Industrial Security. Employees who are placed under strong pressure by job insecurity and the shift towards more autocratic management styles are becoming tempted to take revenge against their employer. Some take action against the company's computer network, while others use their insider knowledge to defraud the company.

It's the weather, but not as we know it

Landmark Communications, owner of The Weather Channel in the US, is seeking to establish a presence in the UK, where it believes that there will be strong demand for 24-hour television weather broadcasting. In doing so, it will come into conflict with Weather Network UK, which has already begun broadcasting. It operates in partnership with Weather Department, a weather television production specialists which already works with six regional ITV companies.

However, it is important to be aware that few people remain in management consultancy beyond their mid-30s. The lifestyle can become very tiring and frustrating, and management consultancy often serves as a basis for a career in industry.
