Salad dressings

Article Abstract:

The market for salad dressings in the UK is experiencing dynamic growth as seen from an increase of 17% by volume and of 48% by value. The category of other salad dressings was the most dynamic sector, posting growth rates of 32% and 56% in volume and value, respectively, for the period between 1995 and 1997. Mayonnaise's popularity continued to grow, as it reached 48% of market volume and 51% by value for 1997. The reduced-calorie/reduced-fat products also enjoyed healthy growth because of the trend towards healthy eating.

Garden products: overview and distribution

Article Abstract:

Garden products are predicted to post growth in value for the years 1998-2002 but there are several trends which should be in favorable condition to make it a reality. These are the intensive use of the garden for socializing activities of the family, investments in decorative products for the garden, product innovations, more sophistication in the retail structure and appreciation of the natural environment. In addition, weather conditions would play a key role in annual sales of garden products.

Positive growth is predicted for the watch industry for the years 1998-2002 based on analysis of trends affecting the market. A trend that would further continue is the integration of technological advances in watches such as the use of solar power. Multi-watch ownership would be the focus of promotional efforts of watch companies, focusing on fashion trends. In addition, sponsorship of sporting events would be a major target of promotions by watch companies.
